New Canucks jersey!
That’s the new jersey…The biggest news in the city of Vancouver today was the “new” Vancouver Canucks jerseys (NHL ice hockey).
Here is last year’s jersey…

Obviously there is a “retro” look going on here…

As you know, I don't fancy Hockey, but the new jersey is cooler than the third, and less cooler than last year's (which was more agressive due to its predominant colours: red and black)! Green is a colour of creativity, however it doesn't fit in this game, now does it? At least to me it looks more like red, black, white, navy blue, grey, yellow, and a darker green! Not lettuce green!

I prefer last year's jersey too. I still have a cap in those colours from my last visit to BC
The more I look at the new one the more I hate it.
They seemed to have just picked what they liked from past jerseys and slapped them all together!
I don’t mind the color scheme it is very west coast, lots of very green trees (particularly since we have had such a mild summer, Max the lettuce here doesn’t look that good), and the blue fits in with the all the rain I mean the Pacific Ocean.
I love orcas, but I have never liked the way they have stylized it, it is ok.
Having the old hockey stick on the shoulders is also ok.
I don’t like the big Vancouver on the front. It is almost like name dropping, “we have a bad team” (remember I am a Canucks fan) “but we are from a great city”, it really clutters up the front. Dave maybe the hats will be cool, how much can they put on a hat?
Also with all the retro stuff thrown in it is almost like reminiscing about the good old days, except the Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup, if there are no Championship victories stolen from the jaws of defeat in the seventh game of the final.
My favorite part about the new jersey is the fact that I have a had a HUGE amount of traffic to the blog to check out this article...think about it the blog is named Life on the Blade, sounds like a hockey skate blade, my nickname connotes violence to those who don’t know what is about and they have not seen my nice furry image. I have often had people from Canada and other countries coming to this blog thinking it was about hockey but yesterday was great. For quite awhile I was number one on Google till the large profit sites took over, quite funny when you think about it. I know, I need to get out more. At least it eases the pain of having to look a those jerseys.
Actually I am still getting quite a few hits on this article more than a day later.

Vancouver is a hockey crazy town, when they unveiled the new jerseys there were over 8 thousand people there, and it was one of the few really nice hot days all summer! There was no game it was jus the unveiling of two shirts, the home and away jerseys. Two days later and it is still one of the top news stories in town and everybody is talking about it.
I preferred last years jersey also but I have to say I would like the orca stylized differently, the new one just looks a bit simplified or dumbed down.
I laughed so hard when you said “last years was cuter”, a cute hockey jersey, great!
