The Inconvenient Truth: Palestine does not want a State

Photobucket

However an inconvenient truth it may appear Palestine does not want a State…for it seeks not…and plays crazy eight ball not…doth it seeketh…

The undiscovered country from whose bourn
No traveler returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?

Is there to be a Palestinian State that is not merely the playground of terrorists and Islamic Imperialists? Do the Palestinians simply stay in their perpetual ghettoised wasteland out of fear of ills unfamiliar, unknown or undiscovered? A Palestinian State…to be or not to be…

They want it not…it would simply be the prize from a race exterminated. Revenge lays sway…

Nothing but the evaporation of the people Israel would slake the desire for revenge…Yet…perhaps…a sensibility could be drawn from these waters of animosity and be cleansed…

It is not easy to forgive the blood but I recommend a revolution of sweat as the solution…stop living in the blood of the past and work sweat in the present to create possibilities of prosperity in the future..

Stop hating the children of Israel more than you love your own children, stop selling their future into stones and scorpions…but instead into freedom, education and prosperity…

Accept the opportunity of arriving at the undiscovered country…is a Palestinian State to be or not to be?

LSX,

I really don't know enough about the politics to make a solid comment.

I can be fairly certain in saying that we never know the full truth in politics. There's always some hands being greased, agendas to adhere to, apperances to keep up and political puppeteering where human casualties are nothing more than rungs on a ladder for power.

You have laid out a difficult and often misunderstood subject for MAX to tackle, but I know she can do it effortlessly like the superwoman she is.

Hello dear AleXys,

LOL You know I always enjoy your comments…first however I should deem to inform…Max (who is indeed Superwoman) was the one who picked this subject (we alternate but do collaborate in the subject/title)…it is though one which we hold similar views upon…

I will also mention that as the title was aimed at the Palestinians I concentrated upon them…much could also be said about Israel…although because of events both historical and present I support Israel…but have compassion upon those Palestinians that simply want a roof over their heads, food and education for the children and a job to earn a living…a gentle peaceful life…like living in California :)

You know the situation in the Middle East is not really that complex…the challenge is that Westerners try to impose logic and reason on the state of affairs…Muslims are following the Quran and Hadith and the Jews are following the Old Testament…with a new currency provided from the Holocaust…

Hi LSus,

My, my, my...I love what you have done with the subject. You poetised it (not in the literal sense)!
But what is marvellous is to witness your ability to produce a succinct article...how challenging was it, LSus *ducking*? LOL... ;)

I am inclined to agree with you, Palestinians should stop hating (or offer that impression) the children of Israel and should focus on the constructions of a nation first, and then on its development. But I ask, do they really detest Israel...or is it convenient for them to do so? Emotions or Politics?

A Palestinian State could, should, be...but will the Palestinians take hold of the opportunity before them?

This was a surprising output...well done, darling!

Cheers

Lady A & LS,

superwoman, moi? Girl...if only I could blush...lol ;)

This time I must say "Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa"...I chose this theme (if it had been LS', the theme would've probably something to do with sex LOL LOL....*just kidding, LSus*).

LS, I agree with you when you say that the situation in the Middle East is not that complex. However, I don't think religion alone is to blame here (in fact religion may be a curtain of smoke)...that would simplify things excessively.

Cheerio

Hi Maximus…

Well I am pleased you like it…I’m not certain I like what I did with it…but it was a bit of an experiment…which is as you know one of the reasons I blog…I also thought I would not go down the direct Biblical or political tracks…LOL Yes it is rather succinct…another goal met…did I say goal?...Just like Germany!!!!! GOAL!!!!!!!! :)

LOL It was very difficult but you helped by picking a tricky subject! :)

The best “revenge” is success…although as you know I prefer grace…

I think it is a blood feud thousands of years old…and only when Jesus returns will it change… I think it is an all encompassing rage, envy, bitterness…I think Israel is under their skin and that will not change although it may at time shave the appearance of changing

You would hope that the Palestinians would love their children more than they hate the children of Israel and would develop a healthy vibrant nation that could contribute to the global community in positive ways…don’t hold your breath…

Is it really a matter of leadership or do the majority of “common” Palestinians support the hate? Remember how they celebrated on 9/11?

“LS, I agree with you when you say that the situation in the Middle East is not that complex. However, I don't think religion alone is to blame here (in fact religion may be a curtain of smoke)...that would simplify things excessively.”

- I agree that there is more to the situation than outright religious differences however religion informs the entirety of the cultures of the Middle East…and indwells their history and civilizations…the same can be said of the West but we are largely in denial because of the fabricated positioning of separation of Church and state…

It was a good experiment, trust me. LOL Yes, I said goal: man, Germany's goals were off the hook!!! Did you see that? It was like bullet shots...awesome! Wish us good luck for tomorrow: Portugal needs to kick Spain's butt.

"LOL It was very difficult but you helped by picking a tricky subject! :)"

LOL...you know me: X-Snake...LOL...

"The best “revenge” is success…although as you know I prefer grace…"

Indeed...

"I think it is a blood feud thousands of years old…and only when Jesus returns will it change… I think it is an all encompassing rage, envy, bitterness…I think Israel is under their skin and that will not change although it may at time shave the appearance of changing"

So, upon the second coming things will change in that region, eh? Until then the Palestinian people will suffer at the hands of Hamas and corrupt Fatah...I get it.
LOL...Sometimes, I think that even if PA gets a nation, it will always find a way to quarrel with Israel; for, as you said, the feud has been going on for ages (and back then Philistians had their nation: Gaza).

"You would hope that the Palestinians would love their children more than they hate the children of Israel and would develop a healthy vibrant nation that could contribute to the global community in positive ways…don’t hold your breath…"

Yes, you would hope just that. LOL ok, I won't hold my breath (although I wish I could)...

"Is it really a matter of leadership or do the majority of “common” Palestinians support the hate? Remember how they celebrated on 9/11?"

I don't think the majority of common Palestinians support the hate. I think that what we see on TV is sheer propaganda by Hamas and Fatah. I remember how they celebrated on 9/11...but I ask: was it real or was it propaganda? Were the 1,5 million of Gazans celebrating? Hmmm....I could doubt it...but again, we never know...

"You may find today’s article by Thomas Freidman to be of interest on this topic…"

Oh God, I know Thomas Friedman (I watch him on Fareed Zakaria's GPS; in fact I watched him yesterday): I don't always agree with him; although he presents his ideas in a simple and intelligent fashion. I will read this link, thank you :D!

I can not disagree here...

"the same can be said of the West but we are largely in denial because of the fabricated positioning of separation of Church and state…"

LOL LOL LOL in denial, eh? I liked that one. But you know you are right on that one. We live in a pseudo-separation of Church and state; but people like to spit the word "laicism"...

LSX,

We do not like porn, and do not need viagra (at least, not yet LOL)...so bring it on...

Max Coutinho said...

LS,

I read the link you provided, and yeah...he said the same thing on GPS yesterday...

I agree that Israel knew (and still knows) how to take advantage of the war-time-outs. It is getting richer and richer; while PA...well, needless to say, right?

There is another parallel in the world. Pakistan. It is so consumed by its hatred for India, that it is in the process of destroying itself. Unlike Palestine however, Pakistan has a stockpile of nuclear weapons, which the fundamentalists hope to get hold of and what that development will do to the rest of the world in general and India in particular is something that all thinking people everywhere need to address.

- I have read all of Friedman’s books…and frequent his articles…I often do not agree with him however I like how he engages and like to garner various intelligent points of view…Interestingly I was gifted a link to Friedman by Rummuser as well… so we have readers of Friedman and the Blade from 3 continents…
